We recommend children to brush their teeth at least twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste. Ensure you brush all aspects of their teeth. Plaque forms along where your teeth and gums meet and if its not removed, it will harden to tartar so it's important to focus on this area when brushing. Gently move the brush in small circular motions along the gum line, firstly, on the outside of their teeth then on the inside of their teeth and finally, the biting surfaces of their teeth. For children, we recommend using a pea sized amount of toothpaste. Encourage them to spit out the excess toothpaste when they are finished but not to rinse with water, as this removes the active ingredients. Just remember, it takes time to get this routine right and every child is so different. So, try to have fun with it and don't put too much pressure on yourself or your kid.
